Product tour

Automatic download of content into the newsletter

The main benefit is massive time savings when wanting to showcase multiple items in your newsletter. Think promotional products, or new products being introduced.

When working with a fully-branded, custom, modular template - usually the product names, descriptions, links, and images need to be replaced. Usually this is done manually - either directly in HTML, or in some kind of WYSIWYG drag and drop editor.

With generator this work can be greatly optimized. Point to a product page with a URL, and get all the data you want to be put into the newsletter.

Best use case: e-commerce businesses and email marketing agencies, showcasing products in their newsletters. Newsletters aggregating articles from blogs or news websites.

Image auto-fitting & hosting

Images downloaded by Newsletter Generator will be automatically resized to fit into the template to exact pixel values. No need to manually open and resize them in a graphics program like Photoshop or GIMP.

All images from your template, and all images downloaded from the data-sources you point to, can be hosted on a CDN (Content Delivery Network). Simply select proper option when creating the newsletter.

Integrates well with other tools

Generator was designed to integrate well with already existing technology.

Leverage copy-pasting to work with any tool involving text. Copy links from an email, a ticket from project management software, or the browser, and paste them to the Generator when creating a new campaign.

When your newsletter is ready, copy the markup and paste into any Email Service Provider, like GetResponse, MailChimp, and others.

This way Newsletter Generator does not force a workflow on you, and allows you to work with the tools you want, the way you want.

Optional zipfile packaging

If you don't want to host images on the CDN, and want a full newsletter to be used in a system, that expects a zipfile to be imported, then use zipfile as an output option.

HTML, text version, and all the images will be packaged into a zip archive. Images can be placed in the root directory of the archive, or the "images" directory placed alongside "index.html" file. You choose.

How it works

Initial setup

One time per brand or custom modular template.

  1. Import your templates

Define variables in the modular newsletter template. Then connect any private or public git repository to import your templates. Versioning will help you not to get lost.

  2. Define data sources

Tell Newsletter Generator what data you're interested in by pointing to it with a single URL and a few CSS selectors. This can be done in 5 minutes and will payoff with unlimited variations of your newsletter with different products and banners. No need for costly API integrations.

Ongoing work

Every time you need a new newsletter.

  1. Paste your brief - links to content

Create newsletters by just pasting a bunch of links to products, blog posts, or images. Product names, descriptions, prices, article titles, and all other items you pointed to with CSS selectors, will be downloaded and merged with your HTML. Images will be automatically resized, to fit your template.

  2. Copy resulting HTML and paste into the ESP

You have two options - get only the markup (HTML), which is great for "copy & paste workflow", and email marketing platforms which allows you to paste a template's HTML. Which is most of them, if not all. Selecting this option will upload all the images to the CDN automatically, so you don't need to upload them anywhere.

Or, download a zipfile, and import it to sending platform, if it works with zip archives. This option will include images in the archive, so they can be hosted by the email marketing services provider.
